The most obvious is to only buy from reputable sellers. When 80% of the products purchased are white powders it makes sense to buy from a company with standards and accolades to give confidence that you?re not buying just talc, or worse something more hazardous.
Avoid anything which claims that it?ll make you lose weight overnight without any additional effort or change in diet. Short of stopping food from being digested it is just not possible. Anything which contains calories will add to you calorie consumption, ?a deficit will always be required to lose any weight.
Watch out for low fat drinks and foods claiming to help you diet. Often the fat aspect is replaced with sugar to make the drink more delicious. This has a terrible effect on the body?s blood-sugar levels and causes insulin spikes as well as adding empter sugar carb calories.
Low cal drinks that are low in fat and sugars are often loaded with sweetners, not so bad for the waist but can make you more hungry leading to bingeing due to a thirst for sugar.
If going for a meal replacement drink ensure you?re actually replacing your meal and not adding to it. Often these contain 3-400 calories in themselves, as much as the average lunch. Which is more nutritionally balanced? Which leaves you fuller for longer? In clinical trials meal replacement shakes have been a failure.
