KAYSVILLE -- There are numerous analogies when it comes to sports teams and families.
But for the more than 100 youth at the Act of Love Adoptions football camp, growing stronger as a football player will help them be better teammates as well as sons and brothers.
The Sandy-based Act of Love Adoptions conducted its third fundraiser camp last weekend at the Sportsplex in Kaysville, with former University of Utah and NFL standouts Luther Elliss and Patrick Dyson leading the kids.
Several Utah Blaze players along with Carolina Panthers player Dan Ziedman also served as camp instructors. This year's camp was expected to generate nearly $10,000 in funds. The theme was "Stronger Players for Stronger Families."
The youth ran through drills, enjoyed pep talks from the football stars and finished the camp with a big tailgate party that include music, food, a concert, games and prizes. For information, visit www.aactofloveadoptions.com
