Sunil Narine: I don't think too much about the batsman ? Cricket News Update

West Indies mystery spinner Sunil Narine, on Thursday revealed that focussing on his own strengths rather than looking for weaknesses in the opposition is his mantra of success

"I don't think too much about the batsman. I only think about my game and what I am capable of doing so hopefully I can continue performing," said the 24-year-old Trinidad off-spinner while speaking to media reporters in Durban today.

Narine is currently in South Africa playing for his IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing Champions League T20. This is Narine?s first experience of playing in the global Twenty20 league featuring the domestic T20 champions from around the world.

Asked about his Champions League T20 experience, the Trinidadian offie said he had enjoyed himself at the tournament, both on and off the field. The West Indian was particularly pleased at sharing the dressing room with a number of senior international players from all parts of the world.

"It has been very good for me coming from IPL to CLT20 and still performing," said Narine. "Sharing the dressing room with so many senior players, it says a lot. It makes you comfortable knowing that there are big players on your team and knowing that and anytime they can step up and make your job a lot easier," he added further.

Narine first shot into the limelight after dismantling the formidable Australian line-up during the home ODI series - 11 wickets in five matches - in March this year. He then played a key role in Kolkata Knight Riders? IPL triumph, finishing the lucrative Twenty20 league as the second highest wicket taker with 24 scalps from 15 matches at an average of 13.50 and an impressive economy of 5.47.

Replying to a query about his experience with Knight Riders, Narine said that he had enjoyed being part of KKR outfit so far, and hoped to have a long stint with the King Khan's franchise.

To date the Trinidadian off-spinner has played 58 Twenty20 matches picking up 83 wickets at a startling average of 15.15. In his 15 One Day International appearances for West Indies, Narine has claimed 28 scalps at 18.82.
