UFC light heavyweight scrap has been set for March 8 as Alexander Gustafsson will meet Antonio Rogério Nogueira in London, England. UFC president Dana White made the announcement at tonight’s UFC Fight Night 30 post-fight press conference.
The UFC president was quick to point out that if Gustafsson wins he will face off with the winner of the upcoming bout between UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and Glover Teixeira. White also indicated that the UFC is still heading to Sweden in 2014.
The two light heavyweights were originally supposed to meet at UFC on FUEL TV 2 but the bout was scrapped after “Lil Nog” was injured prior to the fight. Gustafsson heads into the bout after coming up just short against Jones in the “Fight of the Year” front runner at UFC 165. “Lil Nog” comes into the bout having won two straight fights, last defeating Rashad Evans at UFC 156.
