The Florida Gators are 15-11 since Tim Tebow left Gainesville, and that just doesn't sit well at The Swamp. But Florida can go to 16-11 in that time and win its season opener, assuming it doesn't look past big underdog Bowling Green on Saturday.
All eyes will be on quarterbacks Jeff Driskel and Jacoby Brissett, who continue to battle for the No. 1 quarterback spot. The two sophomores will get looks from coach Will Muschamp, as will new featured running back Mike Gillislee, a senior.
It's a work in progress for the Gators on offense, but fortunately for them, the Falcons don't have the athletes and talent to hang with Florida for an entire game. On paper anyway.
Quarterback Matt Schilz and running back Anthon Samuel are players to watch for Bowling Green of the MAC. The Gators have won 22 straight season openers and are 63-6 overall in openers at home. Florida is a 29-point favorite.
