As part of the way we work, we seek to build enduring relationships with all of our communities that are characterised by mutual respect, active partnership and long term commitment.??The Production Systems Team comprises of corporate and regional based resources spread across NSW and QLD to support the RTCA operational sites in maintaining, developing and implementing Mine Monitoring and Control (MM&C)?solutions.? The Production Systems Team provides thought leadership, business improvement and essential support services?to the specific areas of Asset Health, Mine Management, Machine/Operator Guidance and Post Processing.? They are?responsible for managing and supporting the MM&C and reporting systems across all RTCA sites.?The Field Communications Specialist's primary role is to be responsible for the implementation, operation and maintenance of the QLD sites wireless solutions for data and voice.?The Specialist is also responsible for developing ongoing improvements and advise the Mine Monitoring and Control technicians based on site with troubleshooting.?Specific responsibilities include:

• Supporting the trouble shooting of the wireless network and devices including effective contract management of ?third parties
• Assisting the planning for a refresh of the analogue voice communications solutions as needed by sites.
• Effective planning and management of network changes as required for operations due to the varying operations conditions. This will include moves of repeater / access points as needed.
• Evaluating and designing additional wireless applications using the consolidated network
• Managing deployment and co-ordination of maintenance of CCTV cameras for operations
• Supporting the coordination of all new system commissioning and Fleet additions
• Assisting with user education of the technologies in use
• Providing strategy options to management on the future state needs as needed.

To succeed in this role you will need relevant qualifications in Technical/ Systems software engineering and working knowledge of two way radio communications systems, wireless point-to-point microwave systems, wireless mobile mesh systems, CCTV systems and supporting LAN infrastructure.
